The Calderhead Family Fundraiser
Our Goal: $1500:raised $405
Our sweet baby girl Delta will be 2 years old November 21st. Looking at her, you wouldn't think she once was given less than 10% chance of survival. You wouldn't know she was clinging to life on a Heart Lung machine (ECMO) and you probably wouldn't believe she runs around, laughs, and plays after being born with 17% of her lungs, but she does. She is the very definition of strength and miracle. She is our hero!
WHY TINY HERO?
If it wasn't for Tiny Hero I wouldn't have gotten to Dr. Kays and in turn wouldn't have my beautiful daughter with me today. They helped us get to Florida and paid for our hotel. We are helping with this campaign again this year, so please consider helping this amazing organization continue to help other families get the best care possible and be armed with the best source of knowledge about CDH. You can donate or purchase items for donation as well. Thank you all!
HOPE STARTS HERE HOODIE
You can also support our family by purchasing this exclusive Hope for the Holidays item. All proceeds from the sales go towards Tiny Hero. Tiny Hero is a 501(c)(3) organization built to help support families with CDH children.
What is CDH?
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) occurs in an unborn baby when there is a hole in, or incomplete formation of, the diaphragm (the muscle under the lungs that is responsible for breathing).
CDH affects about one in every 2,500 babies (1600 cases in the U.S. each year), and occurs as often as cystic fibrosis and spina bifida, yet most have never heard of it. On average, only 50% of these babies survive. Learn more about what is CDH→
